Rachel True Blasts Conventions For Inviting Her White CoStars Of ‘The Craft’ And Leaving Her Out, “Sounds About White”

Fans of ‘The Craft’ know the movie is a classic coming of age story about four witches. However, when the cast makes appearances, only three show-up…and not on accident.

Rachel True says that conventions are consistently booking her ”The Craft” costars without even looking her way, despite the fact that she has an equal leading role and screen time with the other three witches. But now, she says she’s tired of it, as she addressed the issue via Twitter.

“I think it’s interesting these conventions are booking Neve, Fairuza &, Robin all together, but excluding me. Sounds about white.” True tweeted as she began venting her frustrations to her followers. She continued, “Maybe it’s just an oversight but…I mean.. it’s a film about 4 f*cking girls, not 3.”

What’s even crazier, one of her costars, Fairuza Balk, pointed the issue out. She tweeted, “Btw the lovely Fairuza Balk tipped me off to this all because she’s cool AF. & scene.”

She then spoke about the obvious racism in Hollywood and society, posting, “One mo thing- A Hollywood lifetime of sucking up racist aggressions, micro & macro while white actors  insisted right up until Dump took office that racism was over… takes a toll, I’m f*cking tired as f*ck some days.”

True also reflected on a previous time she was counted out from #TheCraft cast when they presented at the MTV Movie Awards while she sat in the audience shocked over 20 years ago. She wasn’t invited to press junkets for the movie at the time either.

Reps for the conventions in question saw True’s tweets and made it seem “that” is why she hasn’t been invited. Because she spoke up for herself? She posted their response which read, “John were gonna pass on Rachel. This was totally uncalled for.”

Rachel says she wants to take a break from acting and focus on her new book in the meantime. But whatever she does, we’ll be rooting for her!
