Rapper Tekashi69’s guilty plea has been made public.

Tekashi has been facing a long-standing battle against the FBI after it was found that he committed several federal offenses including racketeering, drug trafficking, robbery and more.  Now, the rapper has admitted to those crimes in a guilty plea that has been made public; he’s currently looking at 47 years in prison. The transcript was obtained by Complex Media.

In a portion of his admission, the rapper refers to himself as a Nine Trey gang member. “As a member of Nine Trey, the enterprise engaged in such activities including shooting at people, robbing people, and at times drug trafficking,” says Hernandez. In the plea, 6ix9ine admits he “paid a person to shoot at a rival member of Nine Trey to scare him.” He also admitted to his involvement in selling heroin, stating “I and others agreed to sell one kilogram of heroin.”

The judge also asked if Tekashi had “ever been treated or hospitalized for any mental illness.” The rapper says that around 2011 or 2012, he was suffering depression and post-traumatic stress after his step-father was murdered. “I started becoming just rebelling and not showering, like depression stuff,” he explains. As a result, he was prescribed Zoloft and “other medication,” but he never took it. “My mom used, like, Mexican remedies,” he says, and the symptoms went away.

According to Complex Media, 6ix9ine is set to be sentenced on Jan. 23, 2020. He faces a minimum of 47 years, but if he “successfully cooperates” with the government, he will be able to have his sentence lowered below the mandatory minimum. The defendants’ trial is set for Sept. 4.
