An NYPD officer is under investigation for allegedly telling his fellow officers to shoot 50 Cent on sight.
Police sources told TMZ that Commanding Officer Emanuel Gonzalez made the comment last June during roll call at the 72nd Precinct in Brooklyn.
50 Cent was scheduled to attend an NYPD boxing match in the Bronx, and Gonzalez who has had some ongoing beef with 50, according to NY Daily News, had filed an aggravated harassment complaint against 50 for allegedly threatening him on Instagram about a month before his comments to officers.
50 had accused Gonzalez of “shaking down” the owner of one of his favorite clubs, and in a tirade on Instagram made the comment “Get the Strap,” which Gonzalez claims insinuated threats of violence.
Gonzalez who has a 30-year career with the NYPD and is still on duty, told his superiors his comments during roll call were “a joke.”
Meanwhile, 50 Cent has taken to his IG to address the story and Officer Gonzalez, who he’s referred to as “a dirty cop abusing his POWER, saying, “the sad part is this man still has a badge and a gun.”
