Gloria Govan has avoided jail time after violating her restraining order in the longstanding legal battle with Matt Barnes. In fact, according to The Blast, the reality star is officially in the clear after a judge rejected Barnes’ claims and dropped all the charges.
According to the publication, the two faced off in court on Monday to address the restraining order and violations Barnes accused her of after her most recent arrest.
Back in December, Barnes accused his ex-wife of violating the order over 59 times by way of constant communication with their kids, including unmonitored FaceTime calls, unsolicited visits, and a tracking device on their phones. However, Govan’s attorney argued that most of the allegations were not violations and revealed his intention to dismiss.
But now, it appears a judge has beaten him to the punch and dropped the charges altogether.
Although Barnes made it clear that he never wanted his ex-wife to be jailed over her actions, he said he wanted Govan to respect the limitations of the order. But with the most recent dismissal, the two can put the restraining order drama behind them as they continue their legal battle over custody and support.
