A New Jersey man has been sentenced to 190 years in prison for the deaths of three people in 2016, according to Essex County court documents and reports from ABC and PEOPLE.
Jeffrey, 30, was sentenced this week in Newark for killing his girlfriend, Tiniquah, 21, his ex girlfriend, Ashley, 23, and her new boyfriend, Jarrell, 28. A jury convicted him in December 2018 on 18 counts, including murder, felony murder, desecration of human remains, burglary and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Prosecutors said that in January 2016, Jeffrey strangled and drowned Tiniquah in her Newark apartment and left her newborn baby hidden in a closet. The baby was later found unharmed. Officials said that the next day he broke into his ex girlfriend’s apartment and shot Ashley and Jarrell while three young children were present, including two of his own.
The judge in the case reportedly called it one of the most depraved and cruel cases he had ever handled. Assistant Prosecutor Justin Edwab said the violence was “incomprehensible” and noted that the crimes happened in front of very young children.
