21 Savage’s charges over felony theft have been dropped.

It’s been a trying year for the “A Lot” emcee, as he was just released after being detained by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  Upon his release, the rapper turned himself in on a felony theft by deception warrant. The warrant stemmed from a failed concert booking from 2016, in which a promoter paid the Atlanta native $17,000 for a performance he never followed through with. In response, the promotor filed a warrant issued for the 26-year-old’s arrest.

“He is trying to clean up his past as much as he can, and rapper Jay-Z has been trying to help him,” Liberty County Sheriff,  Steve Sikes, told the Coastal Courier at the time of Savage’s arrest. “The warrant is from some years ago, and he went through the process and addressed the issue.”

But, all’s well that ends well because he has been officially released from the charges, according to court officials in Liberty County, GA. The case over money has now been classified as a civil matter, The Blast reports.

For now, Savage can fully direct his attention to his upcoming immigration trial, as well as securing his U.S. citizenship.
