Fat Joe, French Montana, & Remy Ma Face Lawsuit Over ‘All The Way Up’

It’s been three years since “All the Way Up” hit airwaves, but a possible lawsuit over the song may be on the way, regardless.

An undiscovered Florida rapper is ready to bring Fat Joe, French Montana, and Remy Ma to court for the track he claims was ripped off. In court documents obtained by The Blast, Eric “Fly Havana” Elliott says he birthed the beat of the song in an “unfinished version” back in 2015. He claims Joe heard the song through mutual friend/co-producer, Infared, and he never heard from them again. Until “All The Way Up” was released one year later.

In the docs, Elliott is claiming Joe promised to pay but went back on his word. And only after bugging him enough, the only payment Elliott says he received was a check for $5,000, which wasn’t the full amount discussed. Now, he’s had it and is demanding the rest of his coins plus co-writing credit for the Grammy-nominated hit.

Joe’s team hasn’t made an official statement yet. But The Blast reported a source close to him said he “believed Fly Havana signed a release on the music, and Joe is adamant he did not steal anything.”
