Derrick Rose is coming out swinging against allegations that he and two friends drugged an ex-girlfriend then broke into her home to gang rape her.
According to attorneys representing Rose, the young lady coming forward is looking for a pay day. Lisa Cohen, Rose’s attorney says that this lawsuit is an attempt to shake down a highly respected and successful athlete. She also says she and her client ” have complete confidence that the case will be dismissed and that Mr. Rose will be vindicated. This lawsuit is outrageous.”
As far as whether or not Rose knows the woman. His attorney says that he had a non-exclusive, consensual sexual relationship with her for over two years.
It looks like Derrick Rose is ready to prove that he is innocent. If he is, I sincerely hope he doesn’t go for a settlement. Sometimes you have to fight these things to keep people from trying you. If he’s guilty, this could be career ending for him.
