Patriots Owner Robert Kraft is making a strong bid to keep the potentially embarrassing spa video from his bust in a Florida prostitution sting from ever being released. But, prosecutors, in this case, are refusing to help him protect his image.
According to TMZ, the State’s Attorney’s Office in Palm Beach County declines to join in on the motion Kraft and 14 other suspects filed on Wednesday seeking to prevent the public release of evidence in the case.
The prosecutors’ refusal to assist Kraft and the other suspects is a big deal because the judge would’ve been much more likely to sign off if all parties were on board.
Prosecutors have offered all the suspects in the sting a plea deal which would require Kraft and his cohorts to complete a course about prostitution, 100 hours community service and to submit to an STD test.
The defendants would also be required to admit that they would’ve been found guilty if the case had gone to trial. In exchange for this plea deal- all charges would be dropped.
It seems the prosecution is using the possible release of the video as leverage against Kraft, in order to get him to agree to take the plea.
