Beyoncé and Adidas are about to make some big moves with their collaboration on athletic gear.
On Thursday, Adidas and Ivy Park announced their partnership with a clip on Instagram. The duo plans to collaborate on new footwear and apparel. In addition to new pieces, Bey will also work with the brand to relaunch her athletic brand, Ivy Park.
In a statement on Beyonce.com, Bey says, “This is a partnership of a lifetime for me. Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to re-launching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.”
Ivy Park was launched two years ago by Beyoncé and Phillip Green, the owner of Topshop. After allegations of sexual harassment, Bey bought out Green and became the full owner of Ivy Park.
In the press release, Adidas states that they respect Bey’s ownership of her company as she continues to be “one of the first black women to be the sole owner of an athleisure brand.”
A release date of this collaboration has not been provided at the time but go ahead and save your coins now. We all know that the release will drop when you least expect it, maybe close to an album release.
