Last month, MMA superstar Conor McGregor was arrested in Miami for smashing a fan’s phone outside the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami.

In the incident, according to police reports, McGregor reportedly slapped the phone out of the man’s hands over his attempt to snap an unauthorized photo. He then stomped on the device before he left the scene.

After a brief investigation, the star was identified, arrested and charged with two felonies, while the victim, Ahmed Abdirzak, filed a suit for battery, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress over the incident.

But since then, according to TMZ, the victim has filed new documents to dismiss the suit with prejudice. Although further details remain unclear, the move likely suggests the two have reached a settlement.

Despite the sudden dismissal, McGregor still faces criminal charges in the case. However, most recently, prosecutors have reduced McGregor’s charge, which, in turn, has lowered his potential maximum prison sentence from 20 to six years, if convicted.
