Rapper Cardi B has rejected her plea deal in the strip club brawl incident that happened last year.

Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, turned down the offer to plead guilty to a Class A misdemeanor charge in which she would have received a conditional discharge, according to CNN affiliate WPIX in New York. She will return to court next month.

The case comes from Cardi B’s alleged involvement in a fight at Angels Gentlemen’s strip club in Flushing, New York strip last August. The 26-year-old rapper was charged with two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of assault, CNN reports. Police say the rapper threw chairs and bottles during the altercation, where she ended up injuring two women, including the bartender.

Now that she has rejected one plea deal, the original charges against her remain. She has also been ordered not to have contact with the women involved, including comments on social media. Back in December, Cardi was almost arrested after she failed to appear in court for a hearing. Later that week, she avoided jail time by showing up to her scheduled arraignment hearing. If convicted she could face one year in prison.
