Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul claims that parts of Travis Scott’s song “No Bystanders” are nearly identical to a song he wrote, and now, he’s taking legal action.

According to TMZ, Paul filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Travis Scott for similarities in “cadence and sound” between “No Bystanders” and Three 6 Mafia’s 1997, “Tear Da Club Up,” which was co-written by Paul.

In official court documents obtained by the publication, DJ Paul says the hook to his track says “Tear da club up, tear da club up” while Travis’ track goes “F*** da club up. F*** da club up.”

In addition, Paul mentioned Scott’s Grammy performance of “No Bystanders,” from earlier this year. Paul said that the rendition of the song that Scott performed used Paul’s exact hook, word for word.

“No Bystanders” is a track off of Scott’s highly successful album “Astroworld,” which debuted at #1 on Billboard. DJ Paul wants the track pulled from the album, and is seeking $20 million in damages from profits he believes the song earned.

However, sources close to the situation say that DJ Paul and Travis Scott had a conversation on Tuesday and are working towards a resolution. No other members of Three 6 Mafia are named in the lawsuit at this time.
