XXXTentacion’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, is asking the court to deny her son’s baby mama’s petition to get a sample of the rapper’s DNA to establish paternity for her son, Gekyume.
Jenesis Sanchez went to court in an attempt to establish paternity for baby Gekyume in XXX’s estate, as well as ask the court for permission to get a DNA sample to help prove paternity. Sanchez initially filed petitions to prove that X (real name Jahseh Onfroy) was indeed the father of her child, although she admitted that no one had disputed his paternity.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In court documents obtained by The Blast, Sanchez said that she and X lived together and had “sexual relations during the time that Gekyume was conceived from February 19 through June 18, 2018, the day of the Decedent’s death.” The two were not married at the time, and she hopes to establish XXXTentacion as the father legally.
Bernard has appeared supportive of Sanchez from the beginning, celebrating the birth of the baby and even sharing photos of Sanchez while announcing that XXX left behind an unborn son. However, It is unclear as to why Bernard is against Sanchez’ petition, as she has her court filings sealed to keep the battle under wraps.
XXX’s mother has been the head of his estate since his death, and according to the publication, Bernard may be concerned about Sanchez trying to stake a large financial claim to the late rapper’s estate, but she has not addressed the situation to his fans nor confirmed the speculation.
