Judge Genece Brinkley is not letting up on her “beef” with Philly rapper Meek Mill. After more than one attempt for approval, Judge Brinkley deliberately ignored a request for Meek to attend the Eastern Conference semi-finals in Toronto to support his beloved 76ers.
Unfortunately due to being on probation for his 2008 drug and weapons case, Meek has to get permission every time he wants to leave the state of Pennsylvania. According to TMZ, his probation officer signed off on the request with no issue, however, Brinkley refused to acknowledge the request.
Sixers co-owner and friend of Meek Mill, Michael Rubin, claims Brinkley is deliberately ignoring their attempts to get approval and shares his frustration in an Instagram post.
The caption reads, “Judge Genece Brinkley – I know you have a vendetta against Meek Mill and are obsessed with trying to control every aspect of his life, but did you really NOT approve him to go to rep the Sixers in Toronto for the game?”
The post continued, “We filed w/your court as soon as the schedule came out since you need to approve travel to Canada! Since you didn’t respond to numerous phone calls we sent lawyers to your courtroom today which you purposely ignored!!”
The Sixers and Raptors begin their 2nd round series tonight at 7:30 pm ET.
