NBA YoungBoy and his label, Atlantic Records are offering to cover the funeral expenses of 43-year old Mohamed Jradi, the victim of a shooting in Miami Beach targeting the rapper.
According to the Blast, Jradi was a Hertz rental car employee who was a bystander hit by a stray bullet intended for the rapper and his entourage. Apparently, YoungBoy and his team were leaving Trump International Beach Resort at the time of the shooting and were on their way to Rolling Loud Miami.
In the wake of the incident, YoungBoy and Atlantic Records are reportedly heartbroken and want to do whatever they can to support. In a statement to his lawyer, the rapper remorsefully expressed, “I wish they would have gotten me, not him.'”
A rep stated that they are currently searching for Jradi’s family in Florida. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although YoungBoy left the scene unharmed, three others, including his girlfriend and a five-year-old boy, were injured.
Authorities have determined that YoungBoy will not be charged for the shooting because it was self-defense. However, the 19-year-old is currently in jail for a possible probation violation, a threatening message posted on social media in connection to the incident.Â
The shooter was apprehended and killed at the scene by NBA YoungBoy’s security guard.Â
