The alleged assault case, involving “Love and Hip Hop” cast member, Brittney Taylor and New York rapper Remy Ma, has just been updated with a new criminal complaint, detailing additional charges filed against Remy in the incident.
According to TMZ, prosecutors officially filed to charge Remy with four charges for allegedly punching Taylor in an April incident at Manhattan’s Irving Plaza. Now, the New York City rapper is facing two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree, all of which are misdemeanors, the publication reports.
However, in addition to the official charges, Remy’s attorney Dawn Florio said prosecutors also updated the time they claimed the alleged incident took place, pushing it back from 9:30 to 10:30 pm. According to the publication, the update comes after Remy said to have had visual evidence that she was nowhere near the venue during that time, so now, the update reportedly reflects the time Remy arrived at the venue.
Despite the four charges, the rapper has been offered a plea deal to plead guilty to assault, in exchange for the rest to be dropped. She would also have to enter a long term anger management program, but as of right now, Remy has not agreed to take the deal.
The case is set to go to trial in July.
