Almost three months ago, Nipsey Hussle announced his collaboration with athletic brand Puma via Instagram to his 5+ million followers. And unfortunately, it’s been almost 2 months since the L.A. rapper and philanthropist passed away. But despite his physical absence, Puma has decided to keep Nipsey legacy and charity going by pushing forward with the joint project with the help of Nipsey’s Estate.
Earlier this week, The Wall Street Journal posted a segment of their panel that included rapper G-Eazy and the global director of the brand and marketing, Adam Petrick on Twitter. The clip featured Petrick proclaiming the plan to move forward with the project and working with Hussle’s estate. Petrick said, ”Working with him to help build the brand and to support some of the activations that he was doing in L.A. was great. We had a lot of things that were coming, and hopefully a lot of things we will still do with his estate.”
Petrick continued by saying the brand would also give to charities that support the district of Crenshaw. “We’re going to continue to release some product that we’ve created with him. We’ve also got some charity activations that we’ll do to support what he was doing in Crenshaw, and trying to continue the work that he was doing through his foundation.”
The collaboration of #Puma and Nipsey’s store and clothing line, The Marathon Collection, will be released this the fall.
