Yo Gotti has been sent a $6.6 million default judgment after the rapper never showed up to a studio session, even though he took his check for $20,000.

A North Carolina judge has issued a $6.6 million default to the Memphis-bred rapper after he allegedly never showed up to a studio session with fellow artist Young Fletcher back in 2016, despite taking the $20,000 he was offered to rap on the track. According to a judge’s order obtained by TMZ, Gotti decided not to release the collaborative song and later decided to release a similar version of his own.

TMZ reports Gotti allegedly went behind Fletcher’s manager to see if he could get Fletcher to move to his label, offering Fletcher a deal worth $150,000. Last year, Gotti was served a lawsuit while performing on stage, but he never responded. On Tuesday, a judge issued a judgment for $2.2 million, but the amount was tripled after the judge found “willful, unfair, and deceptive acts.”

If Gotti refuses to pay the money, Fletcher’s manager, Michael Terry, says he will attempt to get the money in assets, which could include the rapper’s Bel-Air home or cars.
