Former NBA star, Scottie Pippen, has named a 5-year-old girl in a lawsuit filed against her parents, for allegedly defacing his Florida mansion with markers and crayons.
According to NBC News, Pippen added a complaint against the girl to the suit he filed in December 2018.
In the lawsuit, the Hall of Famer claimed Lindsay Glazer and her husband Jacob Woloshin caused more than $109,000 in damages while staying in his Fort Lauderdale home.
Apparently, Pippen allowed the couple to stay in his home temporarily, after their home was damaged by Hurricane Irma in September 2017. At the time, Pippen’s property was on the market, but he agreed to let them move in as long the home maintained “top show condition.”
In addition to the alleged damage by the 5-year-old girl, Pippen said that the couple allowed a cat to “urinate throughout the home,” and mold to grow on the patio furniture. He also claimed that the couple damaged the front gate, entertainment system, and drawers and cabinets.
Pippen accused the couple of failing to pay rent on time, which was reportedly $30,000 a month.
Glazer has dismissed Pippen’s claims and has since released a statement through her spokesperson.
“Who would have ever thought that Dennis Rodman would be strengthening relations with North Korea, and Scottie ‘no tippin’ Pippen would be the crazy one suing little girls?” she said.
According to Pippen’s attorney, Jason Giller, there isn’t anything funny about the lawsuit. The basketball legend had to do extensive cleaning and replace “the movie theater and other big-ticket things.”
While the damages sought is clearly not limited to the damage caused by minors and pets, which alone were material, this is not a laughing matter and causing 6 figure damage to someone else’s house is both morally and legally wrong,” Giller said.
Pippen is demanding that the couple pay for the damages, legal fees, and other costs associated with the home.
