YNW Melly is currently locked up in a South Florida jail as he awaits trial in a double murder case, with prosecutors already seeking the death penalty. However, prosecutors aren’t the only ones on the side of capital punishment.
The family of one of his alleged victims, Anthony Williams, said if YNW Melly is convicted of murder, he deserves to die according to TMZ. Although previously having a close relationship with the rapper, the family said via attorneys Steinger, Greene & Feiner … “If the state of Florida feels the death penalty is warranted in this case then we 100% fully support it.”
The Williams family’s attorneys also stated, “YNW Melly should feel the exact fear and panic he so viciously and consciously brought upon his innocent victims.”
As previously reported, Melly and Anthony’s family had a very close relationship. The Williams’ family treated Melly like he was one of their own and even opened their home to him. Melly has the name “Jana” tattooed on his neck in honor of Anthony’s mother.
Melly’s team recently filed court docs requesting his release on bail because he voluntarily surrendered to police after his capital murder charges were announced. No judgment has been ruled on the request as of yet.
