Back in April, “The Twilight Zone,” based on the 1959 Rod Serling series of the same name, returned to television with Jordan Peele as the narrator and executive producer of the series. As part of the series redevelopment, several Hollywood superstars signed on to be part of the project, including the beautiful Sanaa Lathan.
In fact, in a recent interview with Baller Alert, the “Love and Basketball” actress opened up about working on the new series with “Get Out” director, Peele.
“Jordan is one of the most exciting directors out there,” Lathan said of the groundbreaking filmmaker. “I love how he’s making edgier-see entertainment that actually makes you think and is putting a mirror up to society.”
“He’s just a smart guy, he’s creative, and he thinks outside the box,” she added before she plugged her episode “Replay.” “He takes risks.”
Elsewhere, Lathan opened up, about the importance of Richard Wright’s iconic novel, ‘Native Son,” which has been adapted into a film for television.
“Native Son is one of the most iconic books about black men in America, and it’s one of the first of its kind, and it’s a beautiful retelling of the story with Ashton Sanders, and I think everybody should experience it.”
