Former NFL star Kellen Winslow Jr has been found guilty of raping a 58-year-old homeless woman back in 2018.
After a week-long deliberation, a jury in a San Diego courthouse found Winslow guilty on four of the 12 counts he has been charged with. On Monday, he was charged with forcible rape and lewd conduct. His rape verdict stems from the sexual assault of 58-year-old Jane Doe No. 2. He was also found guilty of indecent exposure to Jane Doe No. 3 and guilty of lewd conduct regarding Jane Doe No. 5. However, he was found NOT GUILTY on a second lewd conduct charge regarding Jane Doe No. 5.
Police arrested Winslow back in June 2018. Officials say he kidnapped and raped two women in two separate incidents, one being in March and the other in May. A third woman came forward with allegations that Winslow raped her 15 years ago while she was unconscious. And this past year, Winslow was accused of exposing himself to two women on two separate occasions over the past year.
Winslow’s trial started back on May 20 and included testimonies from all his accusers. Winslow has denied all accusations. The jury is currently going over the remaining eight charges. The judge will decide the term at a sentencing hearing. The charge also requires registration as a sex offender.
