Cuba Gooding Jr. has announced that he will turn himself into the NYPD, in connection to claims that he was drunk and groped a woman at a Manhattan nightclub on Sunday.
In a video posted by TMZ, Gooding maintained his innocence. The Oscar winner said that while he was partying with friends at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge, he met people and took pictures with fans, but he never touched anyone inappropriately, and he said there’s video proof.
“I trust the system, let the process speak for itself,” Gooding told TMZ. “There’s a tape that shows what really happened — that’s the most important thing.”
According to TMZ, sources close to the 51-year-old say Gooding will surrender himself to detectives at Manhattan Special Victim’s Unit on Thursday and expects to be arraigned on a misdemeanor charge for forcible touching.
