At some point we come to the conclusion that life may not be fair. I’m sure the talented junior athletes that competed at the Junior Olympic Track &Field Championships in Jacksonville have come to this realization also. To qualify for the meet, you have to be better than good; you have to be great. This is the creme de la creme of junior athletes. It is an immeasurable accomplishment to qualify, let alone place. Like all great things, they must come to an end. And that end is whenever little Miss Cha’iel shows up to compete in the event.
Destroying her competition by nearly 3 seconds, Cha’iel received the gold medal at the Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships For the 800M event. Her time? An impressive 2:27:13. Cha’iel fed the competition nothing, but back and quick strides as she left her competitors behind.
While Nike plans their counter offer for James Harden, they might want to consider cutting a check to the young phenomenon, Cha’iel. Since her entry into Track & Field, Cha’iel has been dismantling records and setting the bar for her peers.
A few days ago, Ochocinco’s twin and protégé set a personal record in the semi-finals completing the 400 M event with a time of 1:01.91. The apple definitely doesn’t fall too far from the tree. Her father is the same WR that had a time of 4.57 in the 40 at Combine. On another note, Chad should consider a career in training. He has done phenomenal work with his daughter.
Congratulations to Cha’iel Johnson.
