Kendrick Norton, the 22-year-old Defensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins, is in critical condition after he was involved in a rollover car accident.
According to the NY Daily News, The NFL player had to have his left arm amputated by paramedics at the scene in order to free him from his vehicle after the multiple car crash, in which his car rolled over several times.
Norton is currently in the Miami Jackson Memorial trauma unit and expected to live.
“We were made aware this morning of a serious car accident involving Kendrick Norton. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kendrick and his family during this time,” a Dolphins spokesman said.
The Dolphins signed Norton in December 2018 after he spent the bulk of last season on the practice squad of the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers selected the 6-3, 309-pound defender in the 7th round of the 2018 NFL Draft, but he never got a chance to play in an NFL game in 2018.
