Fans have been talking about a new face in Brittney Griner’s corner. Baller Alert received tips about it, but nothing has been confirmed, so here is what is publicly known.
Griner filed in June 2015 to annul her marriage to Glory Johnson, according to Sports Illustrated. She was in Connecticut for WNBA All Star Weekend, where a friend named Lola shared a photo of the two of them with the caption, “She’s the All Star, but I’m the one winning.” Lola was not at the event, but she reportedly surprised Griner by decorating her apartment with gifts and balloons.
So are they a couple? Neither of them has said so. In a recent post, Lola called Griner her friend and said she supports her through good times and bad. In another post from a few weeks earlier, she wrote about being able to see love in action and said life is short, so love without limits.
Griner has not commented on the tips, and we are not reporting this as a relationship. For now, it looks like a friend showing up for her during a busy and emotional summer.
