Congratulations are in order for Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill as the two are now engaged to be married! After 14 months of dating, sports journalist Hill proposed to #RHOA star Bailey in Atlanta at the grand opening of her new venture, The Bailey Wine Cellar.
According to a PEOPLE exclusive report, the surprise proposal was a family affair, including Bailey’s daughter Noelle Robinson, 19, and Hill’s two daughters — Kayla, 17, and Ashlee, 19. Also in attendance were the couple’s closest friends as well as Bailey’s RHOA castmates.
The proposal was disguised as Hill giving a toast in honor of Bailey’s grand opening, however, his daughter Kayla handed him a bottle with a big question mark on it saying, “No dad, I think you should propose like this.”
Noelle then stepped up to help open the bottle and pass him the ring box… before he dropped to one knee and asked for Cynthia’s hand in marriage while their daughters stood nearby holding a hand-made puzzle piece sign that read, “Can we be a family?” An emotional Bailey quickly said, “Yes!” and their family and friends erupted in applause.
This will be the second marriage for both Bailey and Hill. Bailey was previously married to Peter Thomas from 2010 in 2017.
