Toni Morrison, the first African American female author to win a Nobel Prize, has passed at the age of 88.
Morrison’s work encompassed the personal black experience in the home and community. Her most notable novels included “Beloved,” “The Bluest Eye,” “Sula,” “Song of Solomon,” “Tar Baby,” and more. Morrison’s contribution to the African American experience, through literature, will live on for generations to come.
