In one of Donald Trump’s infamous Twitter rants, he had some pretty nasty words for Omarosa Manigault Newman, calling her “disgusting and foul-mouthed.” He also said that he is suing her and others for confidentiality breaches.
Trump wrote: “Yes, I am currently suing various people for violating their confidentiality agreements. Disgusting and foul-mouthed Omarosa is one. I gave her every break, despite the fact that she was despised by everyone, and she went for some cheap money from a book. Numerous others also!”
Omarosa’s book, ‘Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House,’ was a tell-all that shared details about her time spent with Trump on television and in the White House, which painted him as an incompetent and racist leader.
Omarosa started to become publicly critical of Trump after she was fired from the White House back in December of 2017. She claimed she knew he used the N-word in October of 2016; however, she still backed him and campaigned for him to be president.
Last year, Trump’s campaign filed for arbitration against Manigault Newman for allegedly breaching a 2016 confidentiality agreement. It’s unclear whether that’s the same lawsuit Trump referenced in his tweet.
Trump’s attack on Omarosa comes after he praised his former personal assistant, Madeleine Westerhout, who was fired Thursday. Trump called Westerhout a “very good person.”
Politico reported that Westerhout told reporters that Trump does not appear with daughter Tiffany in pictures because she’s overweight, adding that Trump “couldn’t pick Tiffany out of a crowd.” The comments made by Westerhout apparently took place at an off-the-record dinner, according to two people familiar with the situation.
Trump tweeted, “She called me yesterday to apologize, had a bad night. I fully understood and forgave her! I love Tiffany, doing great!”
Although Westerhout is off the hook with Trump, Omarosa and her allegations are not. She has yet to respond to Trump’s tweet publicly.
