Day 3: Tekashi 6ix9ine Implicates ”Retired Rapper” Jim Jones As Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods Gang Members and more

Day three of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s testimony resumed in a Manhattan federal court Thursday, at the trial of Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack. As rapper turned star-witness continued to drop shocking information, he also name-dropped a few more rap stars, including #CardiB and #JimJones, whom he implicated as Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. 

According to Page Six, 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, confirmed that Cardi B was a Bloods member Thursday. Under cross-examination, he admitted, “I knew who she was. I didn’t pay attention.” However, 6ix9ine denied copying Cardi’s blueprint to her success by using gang members in his projects.

However, as some may recall, Cardi B had already confirmed her affiliation with the Bloods in a GQ interview last year.

The 23-year-old “Gummo” rapper also revealed additional details on the gang’s criminal activities and named Jim Jones as part of his former gang as well.

According to TMZ, prosecutors played a wiretapped phone call from Nov. 17 between Jim Jones and Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, in which they were talking about getting revenge on Tekashi for snitching. They reportedly made a few references to getting Tekashi violated, “Super violated. Super duper,” said Mel Murda.

Jones reportedly added, “Tell that n***a he not a gang member no more. He kicked out the whip. He was never a gang member…They going to have to violate shorty because shorty is on some bull**it.”

Following the recording being played, 6ix9ine identified Jim Jones as a member of the gang, also describing Jones as “a retired rapper.”

In addition to snitching on Cardi B and Jim Jones, TMZ reports that Tekashi also testified that he didn’t ID his kidnappers to the police right away. Instead, he said that he met up with his former manager, Shotti, and Mel Murda afterward at his house and told them that his former bodyguard Harv and Nuke were the culprits behind the kidnapping. Hernandez also admitted to falsifying other details of the kidnapping because he was humiliated. Reports state that he said he lied about getting pistol-whipped and knocked unconscious right away. Dash cam video shows that that didn’t happen, although 6ix9ine admitted it eventually happened later on. The rapper alleged that they stole $365k worth of jewelry from him.

Tekashi also testified that after the kidnapping situation, he offered Nine Trey gang members $50k to rob and shoot at Harv.

It doesn’t stop there, a phone recording of a prison convo was also played for the jury court, which included Mel and another unnamed person. Mel is heard detailing an incident saying that 2 guys, Black Boy and Hollywood were involved. 6ix9ine decoded that conversation testifying that Black Boy is code for Nuke, and Hollywood is Harv.

There were multiple recorded conversations played, a separate conversation captured by a wire tap recorded Shotti and Tekashi talking in a van, in which Shotti talked about the kidnapping and suggested that he wanted to kill Harv for it. Tekashi told the court that he had no idea that their convo was being recorded.

The newly turned snitch faces a mandatory prison sentence of 47 years, although there’s a chance he could get a lighter sentence or possibly even walk free for ratting out everyone in court. When 6ix9ine was asked whether he was testifying in the case to help the government or to get a lesser sentence, he answered by saying, “little bit of both,” later revealing he could be released early next year with time served.
