Shonda Rhimes has formed a supergroup of creators to collaborate with under her Shondaland banner for the first season of her new Netflix show.
According to Deadline, “Notes On Love” will feature collections of stories centering on marriage with each episode coming from the lens of a high-profile creative.
The anthology series will also ask what marriage is, what it means, and how it’s changing. Rhimes and her Shondaland partner Betsy Beers will serve as the series executive producers, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The series will explore the “unexpected, life-changing, euphoric, hilarious, surreal, and all-consuming places where love intersects with our lives,” across a variety of genres, according to Netflix.
As for the team, Norman Lear, Aaron Shure, and his producing partner Brent Miller will serve as executive producers. Steve Martin and Diane Warren will serve as both writer and executive producer. While author Jenny Han will write and co-executive produce. Essayist Lindy West and her musician husband Ahamefule J. Oluo will co-write and co-executive produce, according to the publication.
“Notes On Love” is the latest project unveiled as part of Shondaland’s overall deal with Netflix.
As of yet, no release date is set for the new show.
