Whenever MAC partners with designers and/or artist, the collections sell out fast. Yesterday, MAC released the latest collaboration with french designer Giambattista Valli. The collection features five new matte shades that range from fair pink to vampy aubergine. It has been said that this collection is on the level of the Rihanna collection, except the internet did not shut down constantly while trying to purchase.Â
Valli wanted to create a diverse range of colors that would show a reflection of his designs: floral hues and standout textures.
“The texture is matte because it really gives you something graphic and modern. It’s good for the daytime, but for the party you’re going to wear glossy. It’s like the cocktail dress, you can wear it with flats during the day to the office and then you can change the shoes like you can do with the glossy, do it more fun.”
MAC has decided to do something a little different with this collection… something completely new — colored and floral packaging. Each tube is a metallic reflection of the bullet within.Â
“I’m somebody that loves practical things for women, beautiful, but at the same time practical. I think its much more comfortable to check in your bag and look right away at the colors. You carry two or three of them in your bag and right away you grab the one you need.”
The colors from left to right are: Bianca B., Margherita, Tats, Charlotte, and Eugenie. The collection also features the Crystal Craze Gloss that is priced at $23. The lipsticks are $18.
If you are lucky, you can snag a few at your local MAC store or department stores that carry MAC. Unfortunately, the collection has already sold out of everything. I was lucky enough to grab the colors in Charlotte… They have every color and the craze lip gloss!
Which color are you feeling?
