In case you may have been wondering if CiCi’s and Wilson’s one-step- at- a- time relationship has transitioned into something more, it has. Wilson sat down with pastor McPherson of The Rock Church in San Diego, California and confirmed that Ciara is in fact his girlfriend. Smiling from ear-to ear, Wilson gushed saying “She’s a sweetheart. She’s everything you could ever want”. He wasn’t afraid to admit that the two are abstaining from sex. They are going to do it “Jesus’ way” proving that some men don’t view sex, or rather the lack of, as a deal breaker. He admits that he needs prayer because “if there’s a 10, she’s a 15” and he has to keep his heart and mind clear.
The Q&A is laced with real moments. Speaking on the heartache that Ciara has experienced, Wilson confirms his own with his adolescent sweetheart and now ex wife. He also recounts how he has had to focus on walking in the Spirit and truly living in it. While reflecting, he continues to gush about Ciara referring to her as the most beautiful woman in the world. “She is the most kind person… the most engaging person. She’s everything I could ever want”. [Go Ci Ci]. What is extremely cool is that Russell may just have spoke his relationship with Ciara into existence. He recalls that he told someone “I’m probably going to end up with Ciara”. (Remind me to throw some things out into the world.)
The video is more than moving. It reaffirms that in an over-sexualized world, there are some men that value the person and not the body. Abstinence isn’t a road that many travel, but for those that see it as their path, you are not alone.
