Donald Trump's Federal Workforce Overhaul Could Put Up to 50,000 Jobs at Risk

Leave it to Donald Trump to severely criticize Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson on his first visit to Chicago as POTUS.

“There is one person who is not here today. We’re in Chicago. I said, ‘Where is he? I want to talk to him.’ More than anyone else, he should be here, because maybe he could learn something,” said Trump in front of hundreds of attendees.

After arriving at McCormick place Monday morning for a 66-minute speech, addressing crime during the International Association of Chiefs of Police convention, Trump wasted no time boasting about the killing of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi over the weekend. He then jumped straight into his attack on Superintendent Eddie Johnson, clearly insulted by Johnson’s absence and remarks.

Johnson decided to boycott the event stating the values of the people of Chicago were more important than anything Trump had to say. Trump believed the Superintendent’s statement to be “very insulting” and suggested instead, Johnson’s absence was simply because “He’s not doing his job.”

While ranting about being ignored by CPD’s Superintendent, Trump claimed Chicago to be more dangerous than Afghanistan; despite statistics showing the steady decline in violent crimes in the city since 2016.

However, not only did the Celebrity-in-Chief slam the CPD Superintendent in front of his peers, but he also criticized the type of federal order the city is under to reform the CPD, accusing Johnson of protecting criminals and illegal aliens over city residents and promoting values that are a “disgrace.”

Trump continued to bash Chicago and other major cities for allowing illegal immigration, not to mention, sarcastically thanking Obama in the process.

After Trump’s blistering address, he headed over to Trump Tower for a re-election fundraiser while protestors and few supporters gathered on the streets.
