Hey beautiful. Yes you. The one with the face full of makeup. You’re absolutely gorgeous with your face beat to the Gods and I hope you tipped your makeup artist or even hit the “like” button on the tutorial you watched on Youtube, but guess what? You don’t even need it. I know you’re like “what? No. I need my $30 lashes, $40 foundation, $20 concealer, and $25 lipstick”, but in all reality, you really don’t. When’s the last time you stood in the mirror and looked at your bare face and said “damn I look good?” Can’t remember? Well as stunning as you are with your face beat, imagine how good you will look and your pockets will feel if you didn’t wear it in the first place.
Here are three reasons on why you don’t even need makeup
Uh, it’s pretty horrible for your skin.
Have you read the ingredients to your favorite foundation? I bet you can’t pronounce 60 percent of the words listed from bad to even worst in small print on the back of the packaging. I know makeup is becoming cleaner, but there are still many products that contain harsh chemicals and coloring that are just not good for your skin no matter how quick you wash it off. Here’s a tip: if you can’t pronounce the ingredients, don’t use it. *throws your foundation away for you*
You look GOOD under all that make up. Tell them b*tch where?
Yes love, you look great with a fresh face and you really don’t need it. I understand, you want to enhance your natural beauty with a touch of makeup here and there, but seriously, you don’t need it. Your face glistens in the sun and your lashes are long without a completely beat face. If no one told you this before, here I am to tell you: you look good.
Makeup is so expensive.
Whether you go the drug store route or you go the high end route, make up is still very expensive. Yes boo, that sh*t adds up. Add up your foundation, bronzer, eyeshadow, blush, that pallet you bought to contour like some girl on youtube, mascara, and the list goes on. You probably spent several hundred on makeup and you don’t even know it. I’m not saying to stop buying makeup, but think about it: the less you use to give yourself your daily face, the less money you spend. Just sayin’.
Overall, I know you’re just going to smile while thinking about what eyeshadow colors you’re going to blend for your next club outfit, but hear me out. Giving your face a break from your daily makeup routine can really be beneficial to your skin and to your pockets.
