Businessman and record exec, Scooter Braun, is now pleading with country singer, #TaylorSwift due to threats on his children’s safety.
Just hours after Scooter addressed him and Taylor Swift’s ongoing issues publicly, he addressed the Grammy-winning songstress directly via Instagram.
In his address, he pleaded with Swift to sit down with him face to face and resolve their issues, stating he has attempted to reach out privately numerous times and was unsuccessful. Braun went on to include the fact that he would never attempt to stop Swift from performing at the AMAs. He also informed the megastar of the tremendous amount of weight her words hold.
“Since your public statement last week, there have been numerous death threats directed at my family,” Braun wrote. “I came home tonight to find my wife had received a phone call threatening the safety of our children.”
Earlier this month, Taylor accused Scott Borchetta, Braun, and Big Music Label Group of being the reason she wasn’t allowed to perform her songs at the upcoming American Media Awards, and die-hard Swift fans went ballistic.
“I am certain there is no situation ever worth jeopardizing anyone’s safety,” Braun said, condemning Swift for sending her fans after him in her Nov. 14th post, which read: “Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun have now said that I’m not allowed to perform my old songs on television because they claim that would be re-recording my music before I’m allowed next year,” she said, adding, “I just want to be able to perform MY music,” as she encouraged her fans to relay the message.
As he continued, Braun said, “I assume this is not your intention, but it is important that you understand that your words carry a tremendous amount of weight and that your message can be interpreted by some in different ways,” Braun continued. “While disappointed that you have remained silent after being notified by your attorney 4 days ago of these ongoing threats, I’m still hopeful we can fix this.”
It appears fans are willing to go to the ends of the globe for the love of their favorite artists. How far would you go?
