Unfortunately for the BeeHive, rumors that Queen Bey will be announcing a Las Vegas residency in the first half of 2020 have been confirmed as false.
Fans were sent into a frenzy on Saturday after sources told LoveBScott that Beyonce would be announcing a residency on the famous strip in the beginning of next year. The story stated that the residency would have made her the highest-paid entertainer in the city.
However, a representative for the “Lemonade” megastar quickly debunked the rumors as “absolutely not true.”
When the story initially broke, fans were excited, yet conflicted about the news. Many welcomed a stationary Beyonce show, while others dismissed the news almost immediately, believing that Bey was simply too big of a star for a Las Vegas residency. These claims subsequently sparked rumors of an impending 2020 album and world tour.
While there is no word yet on when Bey will drop her next project, she is up for four Grammy awards, including pop vocal album for “The Gift,” which served as the soundtrack for “The Lion King” live-action remake. She is also in the running for pop solo performance and song written for visual media for “Spirit,” and music film for her documentary “Homecoming.”
