Apple TV+ has picked up a new docuseries that focuses on the visibility of the LGBTQIA community on screen.
The new series “Visible: out on Television” has been given an order to do a five-part docuseries that will focus on the life, advancements, and issues of the LGBTQIA community in each one-hour episode. The show was created by ”The Keepers” duo Ryan White and Jessica Hargrave, who will also act as executive producers alongside Wilson Cruz and comedian, writer and producer #WandaSykes.
The project “investigates the importance of TV as an intimate medium that has shaped the American conscience, and how the LGBTQ movement has shaped television,” according to the streamer. The series is set to debut on Feb. 14 and will include archival footage with interviews from the movement and the screen.
It will also feature never-before-seen interviews with #EllenDeGeneres, #OprahWinfrey, #AndersonCooper, #BillyPorter, #RachelMaddow, #DonLemon, #SaraRamirez and #JesseTyle Ferguson, among others. #JanetMock, #MargaretCho, #AsiaKateDillon, #NeilPatrickHarris and #LenaWaithe will narrate the series, The Hollywood Reporter reports.
