Just a day ahead of his return to the Saturday Night Live stage this weekend, Eddie Murphy visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and shared a few laughable stories about Purple Rain icon, Prince, during a round of “How Did This All Happen to One Person?!,” confirming or denying a series of Eddie Murphy “folklore” questions asked by Fallon.

Eddie reminisced about a visit to Prince’s house, during which the singer insisted on going skating in his rink with his light-up rollerskates and also told a tale of his chef leaving his home early one evening and running into Prince when his hubcap fell off his car.

Eddie spent time discussing various rumors about his career, confirming that Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis wanted him to star alongside them in  Ghostbusters, but Eddie turned it down because he chose Beverly Hills Cop instead. He shared the only big movie he regrets turning down was Who Framed Roger Rabbit?.

“I was like, ‘What? Animations and people? That sound like bullsh*t to me!’ Now every time I see it I feel like an idiot. I love that movie,” Eddie said in his response after being asked to play the main character “Eddie”.

Check out Eddie Murphy tonight as he hosts and Lizzo performs on the season finale of Saturday Night Live on NBC.
