For the first time in NBA History, three brothers shared the court at the same time.
Justin, Jrue and Aaron Holiday battled each other in front of fans and family as the sibling rivalry played out on the court Saturday with Jrue’s New Orleans Pelicans defeating his brothers Justin and Aaron’s Indiana Pacers 120-98.
According to ESPN, the trio became officially made history crew when Justin checked in at the 5:13 mark of the first quarter as Jrue and Aaron each started the game.
Jrue, 29, entered the NBA in 2009 when he was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers. Justin, 30, made his NBA debut with the 76ers in April 2013 and played briefly with Jrue that season.
The youngest brother, Aaron, 23, didn’t make his debut until 2018, when he was the 23rd overall pick by the Pacers.
“It was cool. I beat them and I got their jerseys, so I’ll hang those up,” Jrue said playfully. “It was fun. My whole family is here — family and friends — so just to be able to share that moment on the court, even from a family standpoint where I’m going back and, I’m not going to brag, but we know what happened. But it’s a good feeling for me.”
