Mollie Fitzgerald, an actress who performed a small role in the movie “Captain America: The First Avenger,” has been accused of stabbing her mother inside of a suburban Kansas City home, Deadline reports.
The 38-year-old was arrested by Olathe, Kansas police on Tuesday and charged with second-degree murder for the death of her 68-year-old mother, Patricia “Tee” Fitzgerald. On December 20th, the woman was found dead inside her home from a stab wound.
According to the website IMDb, Mollie was listed as an actress and director, acting mostly in low-budget films, including “The Lawful Truth” in 2014 and “The Creeps” in 2017.
She played the role of Stark Girl in “Captain America,” in addition to being an assistant to the director, Joe Johnson. The film went on to gross $176.6 million in the United States.
”Being a part of this production has been one of the best experiences of my life,” Fitzgerald revealed in 2011 to a comic book publication.
But now, she is being held on a $500,000 bond and is set to be arraigned on Thursday.
