Chris Rock’s estranged wife, Malaak Compton, wants a huge chunk of his $70million fortune.
The two wed in 1996 after meeting at the Essence Awards where Malaak was working as a publicist. She gave up her career to become a full time housewife and mother to the couple’s daughters Lola Simone, 13, and Zahra Savannah, 11. Chris and Malaak’s prenup has expired under a sunset clause so now that means Malaak can fight for half of Chris Rock’s money if she wanted to.
There’s no word as to how much Malaak is seeking but according to Page Six the court filings say Malaak deserves a payout “commensurate with the marital standard of living” because of all her child-rearing and charitable endeavors.
