Mac Miller new album

Mac Miller’s family has announced that an album from the late rapper will be released on Jan. 17.

On Wednesday, Miller’s family posted a statement on the rapper’s Instagram page revealing that his estate would be releasing unheard music from the rapper. “This is a complicated process that has no right answer,” the family wrote. “We simply know that it was important to Malcolm for the world to hear it.”

The new album is titled “Circles” and is a follow-up to his 2018 album “Swimming.” Record producer Jon Brion was initially working on ”Circles” and continued even after Miller’s passing. The family also revealed that there were some reservations about announcing the album and then directed fans to follow the @ 92tilinfinity for updates.

The rapper’s estate began signing off on posthumous music releases back in June 2019. Some of the recent singles that have dropped were “Time” with Free Nationals and Kali Uchis, and “That’s Life” with 88-Keys and Sia, NBC News reports. “We hope you take the time to listen,” Miller’s family wrote. “The look on his face when everyone was listening said it all.”

Miller passed away at the age of 26 after he was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home in September 2018. NBC reports that his death was ruled an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol.
