Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is getting his own series called “Young Rock,” an 11-episode comedy that will follow his childhood.
The WWE Superstar turned actor will produce the comedy series alongside Nahnatchka Khan. While Johnson will make an appearance in each episode, a young actor will portray the childhood version of him, according to American video game and entertainment media website IGN.
Johnson is currently starring in HBO’s “Ballers,” which follows a football player turned financial manager for current football players in Miami.
Johnson spoke of his wild childhood via video, to the reporters on hand during NBC Universal’s presentation at the TCA winter press tour.
“I have talked about this wild and unpredictable and unbelievable childhood that I had,” the 47-year-old told the crowd.
“I’ve told many many stories, many of them unbelievable, but all of them true. You’ll find Young Rock wreaking havoc in the streets of Hawaii. Getting arrested doing a lot of things I shouldn’t do. We were evicted off the island and moved, to all places, Nashville, Tennessee,” he shared.
There is no word yet on when the series will air, as it is still in the very early stages.
