According to The Hollywood Reporter, STXfilms ‘Hustlers,’ ‘The Upside,’
and ‘I Feel Pretty’ were attained by Walt Disney Television platforms Hulu and Freeform in connection to a “multi-year content deal.”
Hulu and Freeform obtained the linear and digital rights to comedy film I Feel Pretty starring Amy Schumer. The official debut is set for August 2020.
Both platforms will also debut hit movies Hustlers starring Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu and The Upside starring Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston, and Nicole Kidman.
The package movie deal with STXfilms was announced before the start of the Television Critics Association (TCA) Winter Press Tour.
The new deal speaks for Freeform’s track record of featuring award-winning, high caliber programming, which includes films and original shows such as “grown-ish,” “Party of Five,” and “Good Trouble.” Hulu’s long list of hit movies includes movie titles such as Us, Aquaman, and Green Book in their catalog.
