R.Kelly’s Ex Azriel Clary Speaks Out, Reveals R. Kelly Has Hundreds of Victims, Details Extent of Kelly’s Blackmail, Physical Abuse, and Manipulation: “I Feel Sad For Him. Because I Loved Him”

In a recent exclusive interview with The Sun, Azriel Clary, former girlfriend of singer R.Kelly, spoke out against the singer and detailed how their five-year relationship came about.

Although Clary was one of two women that stood by Kelly in the wake of the new charges and allegations, she alleged that there are hundreds of victims across the country.

“Robert has his live-in girlfriends, he has girlfriends in every city. He has flings in every city,” Clary said in the interview.

“There are usually three main cities in every state. So three times 50 that lets you know how many women are probably out there, and that’s probably not even hitting the nail,” she said.

Clary said that the singer blackmails everyone by forcing them to do very degrading things, either filming it or writing it down.

“And I think a lot of women are ashamed or embarrassed to come out because of stuff like that because it’ll be incriminating them, there’s so much stuff. He has letters of people saying that they’ve stolen from him,” she said. “He has letters from people saying that they’ve been molested or touched by their parents or their brothers or a family member.”

But luckily, Clary said she’s never been forced to do that. Instead, she said she was forced to watch.

“Personally, had I ever done anything like that, I would be entirely too ashamed to come forward. Thankfully, I’ve never been in that situation. But have I seen it done to other women? Yes, I have.”

As the interview continued, Clary said she was forced to participate in group sex with Kelly and other men and women. If she, or any other woman, did not follow the singer’s rules, he would beat them up or get the women to beat each other up, she said.

“We were in Atlanta at the mansion, and he rushed into the room and said he had a meeting, and one of the girls didn’t want to help clean up for that meeting,” Clary said. “And so two of the other girlfriends begin to verbally abuse the other girlfriend and then began to physically abuse her.”

In one incident, Clary said the singer beat her with a size 12 shoe for hours after he caught her talking to a friend. But, Aside from physical abuse, Azriel revealed that there was a lot of sexual abuse as well, as she claimed that if they did “perform well,” the women would be punished.

If that wasn’t enough, Azriel also said she witnessed Kelly send women out to recruit younger women for sex.

“I’ve seen him ask women to go approach other girls for him and give them his number – like at the mall and things like that,” she said.

As she continued, Clary discussed what day to day life was like while with Kelly, alleging their day began at 4pm everyday.

“He controlled you to what you wore. Anything that was tight, hugging, revealing, was not allowed. You had to wear very loose clothing. The fact that I looked so young, I had to wear hats every time I left to go out,” she said, adding that the control continued after even his imprisonment.

But by that time, the only women left by his side were Azriel and Joycelyn Savage. But eventually, her relationship with Joycelyn turned toxic when Kelly prioritized Azriel over Joy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“I was the only one that he wanted to visit him in jail. So for those first four or five months, I was the only one visiting him, which was very hard on Joycelyn, and it was still a way of manipulation, by keeping her angry at me because I’m the only one that can see him.

“I know that he knows that he’s done something wrong. And truthfully, I feel like because he’s 53, he just knows that he has too much to lose now.”

As Azriel continued, she discussed being banned from speaking to, seeing or talking about her family, and revealed that she lied during the Gayle King interview.

“I definitely do believe that I was very naive and very brainwashed and manipulated by him,” she said.

“And as much as I hate to say it, I’m woman enough, and I’m grown enough to admit that yes, I was brainwashed, and yes, I was manipulated,” she said. But when it comes to Azriel’s feelings for Kelly, she said that’s what hurts the most.

“ I just feel sad for him. I really do. Because I loved him. I gave him all of me, and because I gave him all of me, he did not have to take advantage of me the way that he did,” she said.

“And that’s what really was the most heartbreaking because what he did was so wrong,” she said. “And the fact that once I watched the documentary, seeing him do it to so many other women, it kind of makes you feel like, ‘Okay, I’m not special. You’ve been doing this since the 1990s.”

“It’s really heartbreaking because I genuinely did love him, and I genuinely did want a future with him. And now, when I hear his name, I just wish I could erase every memory, whether good or bad,” she said.

After the interview, R. Kelly’s lawyer came forward and released a statement saying these allegations were untrue, highlighting Azriel’s similarities to the documentary.
