Antonio Brown To Get Help

Antonio Brown

While it may seem as though ex NFL player Antonio Brown doesn’t want to help himself, people around him want to see him turn his life back around with one being NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

Goodell held his annual state of the league press conference prior to the Super Bowl LIV on Wednesday, and addressed Brown, letting him know the league is here to help.

“We want to help get [Brown] on the right track and get him in a position where he is in the zone where he thinks he can be successful in life,” Goodell said.

Brown has made headlines for months now for issues such as a domestic dispute with his children’s mother, sexual assault allegations made by his trainer, and an altercation with a moving truck driver.

After turning himself in following a warrant for his arrest for burglary with battery, Brown was ordered to “submit to mental health evaluations and random drug tests and surrender his passport and any weapons or ammunition,” the New York Post reports.

“I put myself in a bad predicament,” Brown told USA Today Sports. “I’m out of it now, man. Unfortunate situation, but we don’t make excuses, and we’re going to make the best of it.”

“We are confident that can happen,” Goodell continued. “I think the first thing for all of us is to think about the wellbeing of Antonio, to understand what Antonio’s going through. We don’t talk about the wellness of our players publicly, but I would tell you that you can be assured that the NFL and the NFL Players Association have a tremendous amount of resources that are available to all players. They are going to be made available to Antonio.”
