Billie Eilish is over people making her and #Drake’s friendship a big deal.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last November, Drake caught some flack after Eilish revealed that the two text one another. During an interview for Vogue’s March 2020 issue, Eilish cleared the air about people’s concerns with Eilish texting the rapper. “The internet is such a stupid-ass mess right now,” said the 18-year-old. “Everybody’s so sensitive. A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist?”
She continued, “There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about. Like, you’re really going to say that Drake is creepy because he’s a fan of mine, and then you’re going to go vote for Trump? What the f— is that s—?” This all started when Eilish shared the celebrities that she has in her phone contacts during an interview for Variety’s “Same Interview, the Third Year” back in 2019. She listed other celebs like #ArianaGrande and #JustinBieber, and said Drake is “the nicest dude I have ever spoken to.” A similar situation happened with the Canadian rapper when the internet came after him for texting “Stranger Things” star #MillieBobbyBrown, 15.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Eilish also opened up about her Grammy wins. “That s— was f— crazy,” she exclaimed. “If anything, it’s an exciting thing for the kids who make music in their bedroom. We’re making progress, I think, in that place — kids who don’t have enough money to use studios.”
