Nick Gordon, former boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina, daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, passed away Jan. 1.
Now the cause of death has been revealed as a heroin overdose according to the autopsy and toxicology reports.
Gordon was found in a Florida hotel room in cardiac arrest, which led him to being hospitalized for 7 hours before being pronounced dead.
According to The Blast, Gordon had proof of Narcan in his system.
Gordon was a close family friend of Kristina after Houston began looking after him in 2007.
Gordon and Kristina announced their engagement in October of 2012 and an alleged marriage in early 2014, which has since been reported false by Brown’s lawyers.
Kristina passed away on July 26, 2015, after being found in a bathtub facedown due to “immersion” and “drug intoxication” by Gordon and another friend on Jan 31, 2015.
In September 2016, Gordon was found to be “legally responsible” for Kristina’s tragic passing.
After his death, Gordon’s attorney spoke out, saying, “My heart is heavy today after learning that my long time client Nick Gordon died at the young age of thirty. While I cannot speak to the specific circumstances of his death, I can say that it’s been truly heartbreaking to have witnessed first hand the total devastation that drug addiction has wreaked upon a group of young friends, all of whom were loved and had immense potential.”
